Okay so admittedly it has been a while since I posted anything here, but in my defense I am spending most of my non blogging time running around like a wool-less sheep in winter!!!!
Firstly can I just say that working full time and studying full time, was/is/ may possibly always be a stupid idea... I feel tired all the time, I'm up until late every night, (and yes I know that to some people 11:30pm is not necessarily late but let me just state that I was never one of those party all night gals, and that's late enough for me :( )
Secondly rehearsals for the Bankstown Theatrical Society's production of Miss Saigon, are well and truly in swing, (if you're in town come along and if you have 15 friends you can drag with you you'll get discounted tickets!) But of course rehearsals seem remarkably well timed to correspond with the due dates of my assignments, I sense some evil demi-goddess trickery afoot with that one.
And finally guitar lessons have taken a turn for the worse, with half hour discussions on music theory and complex almost math like equations of music notes and their corresponding somthings that make something equal something else that then makes my head pop and my ears start to bleed :( I swear musicians make things difficult just for the sake of being difficult.
So all in all, while it's been a month since you heard from me, you haven't missed much except for a half naked sheep running around frantically and banging it's head into walls repeatedly... And with that lovely imagery till next month :)

Wow Two Posts In One Week... Lucky You
So just a quick one cause its late and I have to get up early tomorrow to study, tonight (before rehearsals but after guitar lessons sheesh!) I was lucky enough to attend the Royal Easter Shows Arts Preview night so below are a few pics with brief descriptions for your viewing amusement:
Catherine's embroidery/cross stitch
Random Persons Cake Exhibit (yes thats right cake, you could eat that!)
The twirling thing across the photo is mum's hand spun scarf and the white bow looking thing is her ribbon for third place (yay mum!)
And this would be my shawl hand spun and then knitted and the red ribbon is "Highly Commended" which apparently means I came fourth yay me too!!!
Mind you this is the first time any of us submitted things to this show so getting ribbons is pretty darn cool. Was just hoping it would make it on display! lol!

News From The Front Line
It feels like I've been fighting a war lately... for the past three-ish years I've taken a sort of hiatus from society. I couldn't be bothered with it any more. Now suddenly I can't get away!
I've got Work, and Uni (assignments! I've never done assignments before, in high school I never bothered with them now I've got one due every week for the next five weeks!) Rehearsals, for the production of the musical Miss Saigon (I'm a chorus girl lol) Guitar lessons and practice, Tuesday was The Who concert, next Tuesday is presentation night for the Royal Easter Show to which I submitted a beautiful (if I do say so myself) hand spun and knit shawl which I'm sure is going to take first place (confidence)....
*sighs* the lise just goes on, I don't have time to scratch myself and half the time I do not know what I am doing, so this afternoon my plans are simple. Close the door, dim the lights, pop the champagne and get roaring drunk while watching chick flicks and eating chocolate :)

Who Are You?!?
Guess where I was last night?
Live on stage one night only (in Sydney) oh my gosh that was insane, they played most of my favorite songs (poor old happy jack got looked over) but the energy was electric! Even from the nether regions where we sat. My Generation came on and every one was up and dancing, I felt like such a rebel rofl

I Love Brithdays
Actually that's a lie, I hate birthdays, I always feel so uncomfortable with everyone calling and stopping to talk to me when they normally would give me the time of day, and all these people acting like they give a rats arse if you have a good day!
But luckily for me I was comatose this year, yup I organised for two days off work so I could go away on a trip or something, and the day before my birthday I come down with something (we're not sure what as test results came back clear so I must have been faking it) But for five days, I could not get out of bed, I didn't eat, I didn't even sit up in bed and knit, I was dead to the world.
So I slept through my birthday, but when I woke up there were several cards waiting for me with money in them and I knew straight away what I was spending it on!
Pretty huh? Theres this awesome little yarn shop down at Bowral aptly named wool addiction. So I went down there and spent all of my birthday money (and then some).
Cause you see I figure this recession that's hitting the world, while it's not really hit Australia too hard just yet, it's only a matter of time before things start crumbling. And woe is me I've only been a working knitter for a few years, so my stash may not be enough to ride out these times of financial crisis. So I have to start stockpiling and preparing just in case things get rough and I'm not able to buy more wool for a while.
So I get home and take out my stash and start organising when it hits me I really have nothing to worry about...

Things I have To Do To Keep This Job...

I Swear I Didn't Do It!
I was babysitting the other day, See me, baby, very cute...
And she was relatively well behaved, a few little tantrums but she's so cute she can get away with it. That and the fact that I am very good at tuning out noise I don't want to hear...
In fact the only down point of the day was when the mum arrived. She was late as usual, I had a guitar lesson to get to and instead of collecting her kid and going on her way, she decided to sit and eat lunch, and argue over why she should put the car seat in her car, and then mess around looking for car keys etc... She's my best friend in the whole world but sometimes I just wanna shake her!
Anyway the reason why I tell you this story of babysitting madness, is really just to assure you that I was far too busy chasing after almost three year olds, to stage this next photo.
In between playing dress up, and potty training, we decided we were thirsty and headed over to the kitchen for some water and lo and behold what do we spy?

That would be Oscar sitting in our wok, trying to cool down, what a tool.
Chinese for dinner anyone?

New Years, New Dreams, New Posts... finally
Why hello cyber world... It's been a while I know, and I'm sorry to have left you all alone so long, but I had some very important lazing about to do. I hope you all had a great Christmas/Hanukkah/Chrismukkah whatever, not to mention a great New Years.
I had a well deserved two week break, in which I did, not much, but I enjoyed it. There was a quick trip to the Blue Mountains which didn't quite go to plan, but was still fun anyway (kinda in a warped sense).
So as always the new year was greeted with depression and alcohol. Depressed because another year had gone by and my life had not changed at all... well aside from the addition of a cute little furball. And of course, plans to change and renew my "zest" for life. New years resolutions:
1) Exercise More
2) Practise Guitar more AND join a band (it actually extended much more into become famous, have groupies and arrive drunk at the Mtv music awards and punchout Amy Winehouse but I didn't want to get to far ahead of myself)
3) be more outgoing/social
4) Do something crazy at least once a week.
Anyway I should get back to work, I promise more updates more regularly, it's my fifth new years resolution :)
